Gochujang Sauce

Ingredients
- 3 tbsp gochujang (Korean hot pepper paste)
- 2 tbsp maple syrup (substitute: honey or agave)
- 1 tbsp sesame oil (substitute: avocado or grapeseed oil for allergies)
- 1 tbsp rice vinegar (unseasoned; lime juice can be used)
- 1 clove garlic, minced (optional—can be omitted)
Steps
- Add all ingredients to a bowl (or directly to a saucepan) and whisk to combine.
- Over medium heat, bring the sauce to a simmer.
- Let simmer for 60 seconds.
- Remove from the heat and enjoy!
- Store leftovers in a lidded glass container in the fridge for up to 10 days. Serve chilled.
