Chicken Broth

Ingredients
Main Ingredients
- 1 whole soup chicken
- 2 carrots
- 1 onion
Seasonings
- 2.5 teaspoons salt
Steps
- Cut up the chicken according to the diagram in the appendix
- Place in a pot with a small amount of warm water
- Bring to a boil and remove any foam that forms on the surface
- Add cold water to the pot
- Bring to a boil again and remove any foam
- Add 2.5 teaspoons of salt
- Simmer for 2 hours
- Add the carrots and onion
- Bring to a boil again and remove any foam
- Simmer for an additional 30 minutes

Notes
- For a clearer broth, make sure to diligently remove the foam that rises to the surface
- This broth can be used as a base for many soup recipes
- Store in the refrigerator for up to 3 days or freeze for longer storage
